Step 1

After that, stir in the honey, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Let it cook on low for another hour so the flavors really come together. Finally, fold in the figs and almonds, then take the pot off the heat. It’s best to let the stew cool for about an hour before reheating and serving—this helps the flavors deepen even more.
