Why This Recipe Is So Popular

These turkey burgers are juicy and full of flavor, making them a healthier alternative to traditional beef burgers. Grilling them adds a delicious smoky taste that everyone will enjoy. They are perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a weekend cookout.

Helpful Kitchen Tips

- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat before cooking to prevent sticking.
- Avoid pressing down on the patties while grilling to keep them juicy.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F for safety.

Step 1

In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, egg, bread crumbs, garlic, onion powder, poultry seasoning, cumin, chili powder, salt, white pepper, and cayenne until everything is well combined. Shape the mixture into four patties and pop them in the fridge for about 30 minutes so the flavors can really meld.

Step 2

While the patties chill, get your grill heating up to medium-high and brush the grill grate with a little oil to keep things from sticking. Once it’s ready, place the patties on the grill and close the lid. Let them cook undisturbed for 6 to 8 minutes.

Step 3

Flip the burgers over and keep grilling for another 7 to 9 minutes, or until they’re nicely browned and no longer pink inside. To be sure they’re cooked through, check that the internal temperature hits 165°F (74°C). Serve the burgers right away on buns and enjoy!

Serving Variations

Serve the burgers on toasted buns with fresh lettuce, tomato slices, and your favorite condiments. Add a side of grilled vegetables or a crisp salad to complete the meal. Pickles and a slice of cheese also make great toppings.

How To Preserve This Dish

Store any leftover cooked burgers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, warm them gently on the grill or in a skillet to maintain moisture. For longer storage, freeze the cooked patties and thaw overnight before reheating.
