This dish combines crispy, savory bacon and spicy chorizo with golden tater tots for a satisfying meal. It’s quick to prepare and cooks perfectly in the air fryer, giving you a crunchy texture without extra oil. The blend of flavors makes it a crowd-pleaser for any time of day.

Cooking Techniques

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 370°F (190°C) and let it warm up for a couple of minutes. While that’s heating, spray a 7-inch springform pan with cooking spray to keep things from sticking. Toss the Tater Tots® into your air fryer basket and cook them for about 15 minutes, giving the basket a good shake halfway through to help them cook evenly.

Step 2

While the tots are cooking, heat a small skillet over medium-high heat and cook the bacon pieces until they’re nice and crispy, around 5 minutes. Add the chorizo and sliced celery to the pan and sauté everything together for another 3 minutes or so. Once it’s all cooked, drain off any extra grease.

Step 3

Put the cooked Tater Tots® into a bowl and pour the bacon-chorizo mixture over them. Add in the water, egg, and garlic base, then stir everything together well so the tots are nicely coated. Transfer this mixture into your prepared springform pan.

Step 4

Lower the air fryer temperature to 320°F (160°C) and pop the pan inside. Let it cook for about 7 minutes. If it still looks a bit underdone, give it another 3 minutes or so until the mixture is cooked through.

Great Ways To Serve

Serve with a dollop of sour cream or guacamole to add creaminess. A fresh side salad or steamed vegetables balance the richness and add a healthy touch. This dish also pairs well with a simple salsa or hot sauce for extra kick.

Storage & Reheating

Allow leftovers to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer or oven to restore crispiness instead of using a microwave.
