Why This Recipe Is So Popular
These pancakes are fluffy and light, making them perfect for a cozy breakfast. They come together quickly with simple ingredients you probably have on hand. Plus, they can be easily customized with your favorite add-ins.
Directions
Heat a griddle or non-stick pan over medium-low heat and lightly grease it. In a big bowl, combine the quick cooking oats, both flours, brown sugar, baking powder, dry milk powder, salt, cinnamon, and cream of tartar. In a separate smaller bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil and eggs. Gradually add this to the dry ingredients, alternating with water, and stir everything until you get a smooth batter. Scoop about a quarter cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook them until you see bubbles forming on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown. Serve warm and enjoy!

Food Storage Tips
Store leftover pancakes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. To reheat, use a toaster or warm them in a pan over low heat to keep them soft. For longer storage, freeze pancakes with parchment paper between each layer.

Can I make the batter ahead of time?
Yes, you can prepare the batter and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before cooking.
Is it necessary to use both all-purpose and whole wheat flour?
