Why You'll Keep Making This
Kitchen Advice
- Add vegetables like carrots and celery for extra nutrition and flavor.
- Let the Instant Pot® naturally release pressure for a few minutes to keep the chicken juicy.
Step 1
Ad water, chicken, celery, carrots, onion, chicken soup base, oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, pepper, curry powder, and bay leaves into your Instant Pot or any similar pressure cooker. Close the lid and make sure it’s locked. Set it to cook on high pressure for 15 minutes. It will take about 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to build up.
Step 2
Once the cooking time is up, let the pressure release naturally, which can take anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes. When it’s safe to open, take off the lid and fish out the bay leaves. Carefully remove the chicken breasts—they’ll be hot—and chop them into bite-sized pieces.
Step 3
Put the chicken back into the pot along with the pastina. Turn on the sauté function and let everything simmer, uncovered, until the pasta is tender, which should take around 4 minutes. Give it a good stir now and then, and once the pasta is soft, your soup is ready to enjoy!
