Step 1

Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan so the cake doesn’t stick. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat pastry flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in the chopped apple and halva pieces until they’re evenly distributed.
