Step 1

In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, maple syrup, garlic, parsley, marjoram, salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika until everything is just combined. Divide the mixture into six equal parts and shape each into a patty. Place them on the prepared baking sheet and gently press down with your palm to flatten them a bit.

Pop the baking sheet into the oven on the middle rack and bake for about 8 minutes. After that, switch your oven to the broil setting on low.

Step 4

Move the patties to the top rack and broil until they turn a nice golden brown, which should take around 5 minutes. To make sure they’re fully cooked, check that the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C).
